Calling 911 is crucial for maintaining safety in our neighborhood. It ensures that emergencies - such as crimes in progress, fires or medical crises - receive priority response from police, fire and paramedics. Prompt reporting helps authorities intervene quickly, preventing situations from escalating and protecting lives and property. Additionally, accurate 911 reports contribute to community safety by allowing law enforcement to track crime and patterns and allocate resources effectively. If you witness a suspicious or dangerous situation, don't hesitate to call 911. Your vigilance and quick action can make a significant difference in keeping our neighborhood safe and secure.

In addition to the above, there have been some questions from neighbors about the proper course of action to address illegally parked cars on this coming St. Patrick's Day weekend. Per direction from DPD, this is also a 911 emergency call, as the illegally parked vehicles can impede the ability of emergency vehicles to address issues in the neighborhood.
