Our Invitation to Local Businesses

This year marks the 41st Annual ‘National Night Out Against Crime’ (NNO) on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 6-9 pm on Glencoe Ave. While the one night is certainly not an answer to crime, drugs and violence, it does represent the kind of spirit, energy and determination that is helping to make many neighborhoods safer places throughout the year.

The support of business people like you makes it possible for Vickery Place Neighborhood Association (VPNA) to host our annual fun-filled family-based street fest with music, food and camaraderie. We would like to present you with two options that will really help us make NNO a fantastic event.

Option #1 – DONATIONS: Participate in this year’s NNO event by donating a gift card or goods to be entered in our raffle drawing. Your business will be provided with a tax receipt in the amount or value of the donation. You will also receive recognition on our social media pages and our newsletter that is distributed to 1200 homes in your neighborhood

Option #2 – SPONSORSHIP: Sponsorship funds help us provide live entertainment, children’s activities, rental equipment and food/drink. Please consider at what level you can contribute ($250 to $2500) to this important community endeavor.

VPNA began participation in 1991 when a small group of neighbors walked a designated route through the neighborhood. Since that time, NNO has become an annual event and has grown into a neighborhood-wide family block party with music, food, activities, Dallas Police and City representatives, creating the opportunity for neighbors and community to come together and get to know one another.
